Mathematics Across the Curriculum
Spring Retreat 2002
What Participants Can Expect
For new participants at the conference, we expect you could
- Learn about specific projects that have been implemented in the state
- Talk to experienced MAC participants
- Consider how MAC can be implemented at your school and/or in your courses
- Share with us what you need to be successful
For returning participants at the conference, we expect you could
- Share with us what you have been working on involving MAC, including
telling us what worked well and what didn't work
- Give us electronic copies of any assignments, projects, or syllabi which
you have created that involve MAC
- Bring (or mail ahead of time to see results) attitudinal surveys to begin
measuring the impact your project has had on student attitudes toward
learning math.
OR
- Use the time at the workshop to solidify plans to implement your MAC
project
- Tell us what project(s) you are working on and when you hope to implement
the MAC project
- Inform us of any additional resources you need to be successful
In addition, we would like all participants to
- Submit evaluation and information forms at the conclusion of the workshop.
- Follow up with us by sending us copies of assignments to post on the web
page, http://mac.edcc.edu
