The sixth annual "Mathematics Across the Curriculum" Summer Institute for faculty from high schools, community colleges and four-year colleges and universities will be held August 9-12, 2005 at the fabulous Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat Center in Leavenworth, WA.

We invite any teacher (from high school or 2- or 4-year institutions) who desires to make the mathematical or quantitative dimensions of his/her discipline more explicit.  Participants may choose to create any size of curriculum, from one-day modules to entirely new courses that combine mathematics / quantitative reasoning and other disciplines.  Participants are strongly encouraged to attend in interdisciplinary teams.  Participants will receive a $60/day stipend to develop curriculum during the four-day institute.

The institute will feature workshops given by experienced MAC faculty from Edmonds Community College and other colleges.  The institute also will provide the needed time and assistance for faculty to create projects and assessments for their classroom.  The registration fee is only $100 and includes food and lodging for four days and three nights.  Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis and is limited to forty participants, so we recommend registering early!

Join us for a productive and enjoyable conference!
